You do not need to create an account to view a gift list shared by someone else and reserve an item. You can also use Genie (our AI-powered gift ideas generator), browse our Shop curated gift guides, or send free e-cards without an account. You will need an account to take advantage of many of our other features including creating a gift list, participating in group gift exchange, tracking special occasions, and managing your gift history.

If you're like most people, then your social media newsfeed and Google or Apple calendar has probably become overloaded. It can be easy to forget special moments like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. With GiftList you can add a curated list of your most important moments and choose to get email reminders in advance. Then you can use GiftList to send free eCards or find the perfect gift for your loved ones.

Yes, you can set email reminders for special occasions. Notifications are turned off by default, but to opt in to a notifcation please navigate to your occasions page at giftlist.com/occasions, click edit occasion, and choose how far in advance you would like a reminder.

Yes, if your friend has a GiftList account, search for them by name, email, or username in the Friends -> Find Friends section of the site. Once you navigate to their profile, you'll see their birthday in the About Me section. Follow your friends and choose to add their birthday to your Occasions calendar.
